What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a manual therapy used to gently and effectively target fluids, soft tissues, joints and circulation to improve, restore and optimise movement and function of the body as well as reduce pain. Combing a clinical and holsitc approach, our treatments also utilise cranial osteopathy where appropriate, to more passively relieve subtle tension and restriction, stimulating the body's natural rhythm and healing mechanism.

In adults, osteopathy is typically used to target
: Joint pain, pelvic, back and neck pain, muscle pain, muscle tension (knots), injuries, headaches, migraines, poor sleep, pregnancy, stress and trauma. It can also be used to release and improve scar mobility, fascial tension, neurological rehab, bowel health lympharic function and circulation. More specific osteopathy and cranial osteopathy for

What should I expect & what do I wear
During a consultation, you will be asked questions about your complaint to best understand the nature and cause, supported by examination of your body, posture and joint movements. It is helpful to be able to see as much of your spine, arms and legs as possible during this process, so loose or stretchy clothing like leggings, shorts and a vest top are ideal.
All qualified osteopaths are required to register with the general osteopathic council and be fully insured it legally practice in the UK. Supported by extensive research and evidence, osteopathy is a registered allied health treatment and is recognised and recommended by the NHS and National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE)
